Looking for work? Want to hop aboard the one of the least popular government agencies in British Columbia?
TransLink is looking for a Director, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, to manage their communications department. They have a lot of work ahead of them—TransLink communications has become notoriously slow and even boycott certain news stations when the mood strikes them.
Of course, you’ll be well-compensated by beleaguered taxpayers and farepayers. Besides a generous pension and benefits package, Ken Hardie, the last person with this title, made $175,541 in 2010. That ranked him 16th out of the 1,482 people at TransLink who made more than $75,000 that year.
Who knows? Ingratiate yourself enough to the TransLink Board and you may even end up cashing in on their executive bonus structure. Dare to dream!
